In 2019, 15.1 million students attended high school in the United States. There are 26,727 high schools in the U.S. and 1.8 million teachers.
4.5 million young adults (aged 16 to 24) are “disconnected” — meaning they are not in school or working
One in six high school students, or about 1.2 million teens, drop out each year.
While the overall dropout rate has decreased over the years, there are still areas with alarmingly high dropout rates. Some students struggle to complete high school due to various challenges, including poverty and lack of support.

To uplift the lives and education levels of inner-city youth, N.E.E.D. for Change comes together as a community by offering mentorship programs, organizing workshops on essential life skills, and creating safe spaces for constructive recreation. Engaging local businesses for internship opportunities and collaborating with schools to improve resources and facilities are also key steps. By fostering a supportive and nurturing environment, we can empower inner-city youth to overcome challenges, realize their potential, and build a brighter future through education.

"As a man thinketh so is he", thus, our goal is to make sure our youth are thinking, speaking, and hearing words of encouragement and inspiration!
College Planning
Every child has the right to be able to go to college, but will they be prepared? Our goal is to help make sure our youth are really prepared for the College Process and to make the best decision for their future!
Career and Social Skills
They might get a job or get into college, but do they know what to do once they get there? Our goal is to help prepare students with the social, soft skills, and workforce skills to be ready to embark upon their new futures!
Money Talk
Let's Talk Money! How do we prevent financial headaches?... With Education. Our goal is to teach our youth early about money: credit, loans, budgeting, business, investing, etc. The more information they have, the better equipped they will be to make sound financial decisions now and in the future!
Exploring the Arts
Academics will always be important, but it also needs to be coupled with positive outlets for our youth. Our goal is to give our youth the opportunity to explore the Arts. The Arts will not only be used as a medium of entertainment but also as a form of education, exploration and to broaden their horizons about different cultures and various forms of expression!
Single Parents
Temporary Housing
It can be difficult to take on the responsibility of a new child. Our goal is to help provide assistance with getting governmental assistance for temporary housing for single parents who are struggling with this basic necessity.
Career/Job Training
Our goal is to help single parents with training that will assist them in applying for, obtaining and keeping a job. We will also help with enhancing skills to procure a better career position.
Pre & Post Natal Care
Every woman deserves to have care for her child. Our goal is to partner with organizations to help provide mothers and mothers to be with the best care available for their child!
Social & Emotional Support: Spiritual Counseling & Stress Relief
After the child is fed, washed, clothed, and taken care of... What about the Single Parent? Our goal is to help ensure that our parents are in a good mental and social/emotional space to be able to grow emotionally, and spiritually and continue to take of their child/children.
